The delivery back from the Route du Rhum turned into a solo race to Brittany.
Sailed in IMOCAs the year before the Vendée Globe, for which it was a qualifier: from Salvador de Bahia in 2007, then from Saint-Barthélemy to Port-la-Forêt in 2011 and 2015. The idea was taken up in 2023 by the Retour à la Base, from Fort-de-France to Lorient.
