The round-the-world race in stages for amateur crews, on eleven identical yachts.
Founded by Robin Knox-Johnston, the race takes paying crew members led by a professional skipper. The 2025-26 edition covered about 40,000 miles from Portsmouth, through the South Atlantic, Australia, Asia, the North Pacific and the Panama Canal. The stretch up the Potomac to Washington is not drawn. The next edition starts in late summer 2027 on a new boat, the Clipper RX.
